L-R: Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Uja Tor Uja; Secretary, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) FCT, Bishop Mike Akpami with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Chairman Karu/Nyanya, Pastor Yomi Fatimehin during the orientation for FCT 2016 Pilgrims at FCT Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board in Abuja recently.

NCPC BOSS CHARGES PILGRIMS ON GOOD CONDUCT

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja has charged intending pilgrims to Israel to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and to defend the integrity of the Church while in the Holy Land.

He gave this charge recently during the FCT Pilgrims orientation at the FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board in Abuja. His words: "I am calling on Nigerian pilgrims to defend the integrity of the Church and the beauty and glory of Nigeria". He further charged them to "go with excitement and expectation that God would do something great for the country".

The NCPC boss stressed the need for the intending pilgrims to emphasize less on their church denominations and focus on Jesus Christ. He also urged them to take responsibility over their lives and the country. His words: "we have to defend our calling as Christians, what God has given us and stand with it."

Rev. Uja stated that the church must learn to defend the national flag which is the element that identifies us as a people. He further informed that the Commission has ensured that the Aircrafts to be used have been branded with Nigerian colours and the inscription "Christ Pilgrims Nigeria" to promote the image of the country.

He admonished the intending pilgrims on abscondment stating that Nigeria is blessed with numerous resources. He stressed that Nigerians should see themselves as kings in their country and focus on ways to make the country greater rather than thinking of absconding to other countries and serving as slaves; stating that "it is a disgrace for any Nigerian to think of absconding".

Rev Uja informed that the prayer on Mount Zion would be targeted at bringing about a breakthrough in Nigeria where prayers would be rendered for the deliverance of the country from the challenges it is facing. He called on the pilgrims to climb up to Mount Zion and be part of the investment, since Mount Zion is the place of victory of God.
