NCPC BOSS EXTOLS FAMILY VALUES

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission under the able leadership of its Executive Secretary, Rev. Uja Tor Uja recently organized a maiden family night and dinner for NCPC Board, Staff, Spouses and Children in Abuja to celebrate families and inculcate values among Staff of the Commission.

The event which took place at the hall of FCT Pilgrims Welfare Board, Wuse Zone 5 Abuja was awesome and memorable. Families of Staff with their Children all converged to relax and appreciate themselves and the leadership.

At the event, the Executive Secretary, Rev. Uja Tor Uja called on all Christian families to build a good Christian character from their homes which would further transcend to the nation at large.

He said that a culture of oneness can only be built when families come together even as an organization.

He further stressed that his tenure as the pilgrim boss would ensure that a framework which would develop Christian Character and improve on national orientation for all Nigerian Pilgrims would be enthroned.

According to the Executive Secretary: "we intend to build a family in the NCPC where every staff can have a sense of responsibility not considering who you are or what you do in the Commission."

He added "we also plan that from next year we are going to produce pilgrims bibles which will be circulated to all followers of pilgrimage as a means to build a culture of Jesus Christ."

Rev. Uja further affirmed: "that from time to time we can have family night dinners to pull our people together so that we can develop our pilgrimage programme in Nigeria."

A talk on family as life was delivered by Mrs Berry Uja who admonished women to respect, love and honor their husbands as they are the managers of the family.

She noted that when different individuals with different ideas and orientation come together, there is bound to be strive but as Christians, we should focus on God and allow Him to drive the boats of our families because a person who comes out of a peaceful family would be competent at his or her duty.

According to Mrs Uja, "it is not in fighting that you will find a solution, but in a quiet place. The place of the woman is to trust God for her husband to make the right decision and to provide the conducive environment for this to be achieved which the man has to love his wife as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for it", she said.

The Executive Secretary also used the opportunity of the dinner to reward some department and units as well as staff who have distinguished themselves in their various assignments.
