The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja, has called on stakeholders and well-meaning Nigerians to send and sponsor the just released Chibok girls on pilgrimage as part of their rehabilitation after their traumatic experience in captivity.

He made this call recently at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) headquarters in Abuja during a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Agency, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.

Rev. Uja further stated that "the Christian pilgrimage would offer them emotional re-strengthening and repositioning of their future." He also stressed that the girls should be encouraged to go to school at least up to degree level so that they could one day write their story in their own words.

Rev. Uja informed the MD that the primary duty of NCPC is to run Christian pilgrimage. He further stated that by next year, pilgrimage would be focused on three packages which are youth pilgrimage, women pilgrimage and leaders pilgrimage.
