South African Airways prepares for Meetings Africa

As exhibitors, buyers descend on South African shores for Meetings Africa on 22 to 24 February 2016, it is important that airline carriers are prepared for the influx of travellers.

South African Airways (SAA), recognised as the leading airline carrier in Africa, is all too aware of how airline services need to align to industries such as business events.

More than just exhibiting at a Meetings Africa for instance, SAA also wants to highlight certain offerings geared to getting exhibitors, buyers and delegates to where they need be, on time, safely and comfortably.

One such offering is the Step Up programme. This SAA gives passengers booked in economy class the opportunity to bid for an upgrade and fly business class.

From the SAA online system, passengers can tell SAA how much they are willing to pay for the upgrade. At least 24 hours prior to departure passengers will be informed of the outcome of their bids subject to space availability.

As Meetings Africa is such a key initiative on the business events calendar, takes place in South Africa, it is significant that SAA, the national carrier, leverage the opportunity to amplify its offering.
