Following the success of the recently concluded Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Dubai, the Managing Editor of Travelscope Magazine, Mr.Omololu Olumuyiwa has commended the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) during his recent courtesy visit to WTTC office in London.
Welcoming Mr.Olumuyiwa in his office, Mr.Jean-Claude Baumgarten, President/CEO, World Travel & Tourism Council attributes the great success of the Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Dubai to the support received from the Patrons of the Summit comprising the Dubai Government Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Emirates Airline & Group, Jumeirah and Nakheel. The Summit also enjoyed the support of over 40 partners, contributors and supporters, each of whom helped to ensure its overall success.
The nation's chief tourism promoter, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, made this assertion at a press conference held in Abuja recently.
“Tourism can not be promoted in a vacuum devoid of national security. That is one fundamental point we have to get right both at the federal, state and local government levels. We cannot allow terrorists and spies to infiltrate our country under the guise of tourism neither can we allow our hotels to be turned to operation XYZ control rooms for spies to destabilise the nation.
